Race Results - Porsche 956/962 Series — Race 1 February 16 2008 Wicked Garden Speedway
Wicked Garden Speedway was the host venue for race # 1 in the Slot It Shootout 08 Race Series. Ten of the Bay Area's best drivers were on hand to prove there worth on the two lane Carrera Speedway.
After the first round robin owner/operator of the WGS Hawaii Rich led with 41 laps followed by rookie driver Marquell with 39 laps, Randy and Raider Phil followed close behind.
When the second round robin was in the books Hawaii Rich was on top with 85 laps, Raider Phil was in second with 82 laps, Randy in third with 80 laps, and the rookie making the final four with 79 laps.
The pressure of making the finals proved too much for the rookie as he bailed out before the semi-finals started. In the end the cream rose to the top as defending series champion Raider Phil took top points for the day, followed by Hawaii Rich, and Rotogrip Randy taking third.
The next race will be at Rotogrip Raceway on March 15 at 6:00pm
