Slot Car Magic

Excitement was in the air on Saturday October 6Th at Montclair Raceway. Nestled in the Oakland hills the views of the San Francisco Bay are spectacular. Eight of the finest drivers on the West Coast were on hand to continue the battle for the Porsche Cup Series championship. The 2 Round Robin heats were very competitive. After the first heat Rich, Phil, Evan, and Keith were in the top four. After the second heat the final four were Phil, Rich, Evan, and Steve. Steve was able to find another seven laps in his car to move into the final four by one lap over Keith of Keith's Motors.

The Semi Final was a father and son battle between Steve and Evan. Steve just edged out his son Evan by one lap to get third place for the night.

The finals pitted two old foes against one another, Raider Phil and Hawaii Rich. The result was the same as the previous race with Rich out driving Phil to win by two laps.

There are two races left in the series with the next race returning to Rotogrip Raceway on Saturday November 3rd at 12:00pm.
