Race Results - 911 GTR3 Series - Race 3 August 11th 2007 Slot Wicked Garden Speedway

The racing action continued with race #3 in the 911GTR3 Series held at Wicked Garden Speedway.
Oh What a Wicked Night
Saturday night August 11th was the latest Porsche 911 GT3R series race. Eight drivers were on hand to battle it out for bragging rights at Wicked Garden Speedway.
As was expected Hawaii Rich, owner operator of Wicked Garden Speedway, dominated this nights racing. Rich easily won the two round robin brackets. He then appeared to back of a little in the semi finals to let his car cool down, and give false hope to the other drivers. The spectators watched these drivers' constant jostling for position and overtaking manoeuvres. In the finals though Rich totally out-classed Raider Phil, and won the finals by a 4 lap margin. Raider Phil was doing everything he could to knock off Rich but Rich's years of experience proved to much. Making his first appearance of the season was Team Outlaw driver Oregon Jack. Jack has been racing in the Oregon league but decided to try out the competition here in the Bay Area. Jack proved to be a force to be reckoned with by taking 3rd place for the night.
Hawaii Rich, after taking the Porsche Clash win, Saturday night at Wicked Garden Speedway. "I can't thank my crew chief and all my guys enough. To win here at Wicked Garden Speedway I think is every body's dream. I'm living the dream thanks to Raider Phil for creating this series. It's unbelievable. I was emotional to win this race. I think every short track racer out there is dreaming of this. To win this race is cool."
The series will take a break in September and continue in October. Montclair Speedway (Steve and Evans house) plays host to the next race. All teams are expected back on track Saturday night the 6th at 6:00pm. Most teams plan to begin their practice programs at the track around 5:00pm.
Participant rivals Keith and Papa G as well as Stylin' Lenard are set to attend the practice to make crucial preparations for the forthcoming race. Other anticipated runners for this event include Steve and Evan with their home track advantage. Rookie driver Evan is expected to provide the crowd with some needed excitement from behind the stick.
