Race Results - Race Night at Slot Car Magic Racepark
There was an air of excitement at Slot Car Magic Racepark Saturday night February 9th as 16 racers were on hand to compete in two different races.
First race was a battle between BMW 320i and the Greenwood Chevrolet Corvettes. American Iron against German technology. The field consisted of 5 Corvettes up against 9 BMW's. The qualifying round weeded out the contenders from the pretenders.
In the finals American Muscle out classed the Germans with Kim driving the Sebring #75 Vette to a first place finish. Coming in second was Jack with his #4 Warsteiner BMW. Finishing out the top 3 was Randy driving in a Corvette. Evan was a strong contender until he had driveline problems which forced him to pit.
"Ready!, Set!, Race!"
The second race race of the night pitted Aston Martin DBR9 against Jaguar Trans Am cars. The lineup of cars included 10 Jags vs 6 Astons. It was a close battle to determine the top 4 drivers for the finals.
Keith of Keith's Motors driving the heck out of his Aston Martin edged out Mr. Marquell in his Jag by two-tenths of a lap to gain the final spot in the top 4. In the finals Lenard easily took home first place by driving his Aston Martin as cool as the other side of the pillow. Coming in second place was Kim in his Jag, and finishing in third place was Papa G. in his Aston martin.
